The Cards Payin team enables millions of customers to fund transfers and top-up their balance in a safe, cheap and convenient way. With their focus on acceptance of Card, ApplePay and GooglePay payments from over 200 countries, the team operates on a truly global scale.
As an analyst in the Cards Payin team you’ll primarily work embedded in this cross-functional team, partnering with Product, Engineering and Operations to identify opportunities to further improve our product.
In addition to this you’ll help other teams in Wise understand how to improve performance of payment methods and you’ll be part of a tight-knit group of analysts sharing knowledge and collaborating to tackle complex problems spanning multiple teams.
How you’ll contribute:
Help the team evaluate & identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and reduce fraud
Define, track and communicate progress against KPIs - this communication could range from written updates in Slack to quarterly planning presentations to the wider company
Partner with your product manager, engineers, other analysts and the operational team throughout the product development lifecycle to build and iterate product changes based on your insights
Build automated data pipelines and dashboards to minimise repetitive tasks and allow data self-serve
Design experiments to monitor the impact of new product features on risk, convenience and cost metrics
- Strong analytical thinking and data analysis skills (spreadsheets and SQL).
You have experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, Superset, PowerBI, Tableau etc.) and demonstrate storytelling ability with data
Experience building and owning automated data pipelines using tools like dbt and airflow
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; knows when and how to adapt analysis scope to achieve 80/20 results
Excellent verbal and written communicator - you cut through the noise, communicating what matters in a way that people get it
A/B testing experience (or good grasp of the required statistics)
Hustle: you can go beyond the analysis and get it done
Nice-to-haves
Python (you’ll need this at some point but you can learn on the job).
Experience in fincrime domain balancing risk and customer experience
Experience working with cross-functional software product teams
Experience working with event data & tools (Mixpanel/Google Analytics/Amplitude etc)
