What’s the role?
We’re hiring for a Social Media Manager to come and support our organic social team at Wise for a 12 month fixed contract.
Do you know how to create content that will stop people in their scroll, comment, engage and DM with pals in specific markets?
This team is responsible for Wise’s strategy and presence on organic social channels to help get Wise in front of new audiences and drive customer growth. This role requires someone with hands-on experience in growing local channels across social for audiences in Australia, Canada and the US. We’re looking for someone who really gets what makes people ‘tick’ and what makes content shareable for people in these markets.
We have dedicated content creators and social media execs who are responsible for their own production and creative output across Wise’s social, this role will support the team lead in scaling our presence and strategy to specific markets by building and growing new localised channel pages.
Our vision is to be the most fun and entertaining finance brand on social.
Your mission
Support the organic social team lead on strategy development and execution in key english-speaking markets
Grow visibility, engagement and audiences for new platform pages for key markets
Produce highly localised relevant content for Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok
Liaise with other teams and channels where relevant on regional campaigns for social; making calls on when campaigns can be activated on social and when they shouldn’t (and what true social-first execution looks like)
Work with the organic social lead and team on monthly reporting to effectively communicate narrative on platform page performance progression
Work with the existing content creators in the team and share ideas/suggestions for ensuring execution is aligned with the Wise brand and our core position
You have your finger on the pulse with trends and reactive on social - you never miss a moment and know exactly how to make it relevant for your brand or client
You’ve got proof of creating and executing a strategy that grows reach for your content and engagement for your target audience
Excellent knowledge and experience of major social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok
Solid experience with content creation tools e.g. Figma
Experience with video editing tools like Capcut or Premier Pro preferred but not essential
Natural flare for creating punchy and engaging copy
