Job Description

Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Specialist - APAC is the intermediate level role in Wise’s Third party Risk management. This individual is responsible for ensuring the outsourcing activities comply with relevant outsourcing regulations and laws, align with internal policies and procedures, and are effectively governed to minimise risk exposure in the regional level. The role involves coordinating TPRM efforts globally, supporting regional stakeholders teams, coordinating audit finding and other gaps, and facilitating reporting activities in the APAC region. 

The specialist will collaborate with local internal teams and other stakeholders to manage and report on outsourcing risks, ensuring effective third-party risk management across the company.

Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Specialist - APAC duties and responsibilities:

  1. Outsourcing risk communication and remediation support

Facilitate the presentation of regional outsourcing risk profiles locally. Provide support for outsourcing-related remediation activities, ensuring that control measures are fit for purpose and meet country-specific requirements and align with global program. 

  1. Support with risk appetites and KRIs

The specialist assists in establishing and defining the risk appetite for entities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and risk management strategies. Role to perform KRIs mapping to identify and monitor key risk indicators.

  1. Global-Regional coordination and oversight

Lead global coordination efforts of TPRM program regionally, overseeing the alignment of policies and procedures with regulatory requirements, supporting regional teams in their TPRM activities, and providing oversight for policy adherence and procedure effectiveness.

  1. Regional Compliance and Regulatory expertise

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regional outsourcing regulations globally and related  laws  affecting third-party risk management. Ensure the TPRM program aligns with regional regulatory requirements and best practices, and design a strategic foundation for building processes and operationalizing relevant regulatory expectations.

  1. Reporting and audits

Support regulatory reporting requirements, Risk Committees and local Boards, ensuring that information regarding critical vendors are presented and with the updated risk status, maintaining local outsourcing registers in compliance with regulatory mandates is accurately and timely reported and communicated.

  1. Support and collaboration with regional teams

Coordinate with regional teams to identify and address regional issues and challenges in the TPRM area, ensuring that the Wise's third-party risk management efforts are cohesive and aligned across all operational areas and regions. 

  1. Build third party risk awareness and trainings 

Build and embed a culture of awareness about third-party processes, and deliver training and workshops to stakeholders involved in managing third-party relationships, continuously improving their understanding of processes and the TPRM program.

The Specialist is reporting directly to the Third Party Risk Management Lead. 

You are the perfect fit if you have:

  • Strategic oversight and a thorough understanding of outsourcing risks.

  • Experience in outsourcing and third party risk management practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.

  • Excellent coordination and project management skills to coordinate TPRM efforts globally and regionally.

  • Possess compliance knowledge and understand how to apply various regulations effectively.

  • A “can do” attitude and a passion to tackle challenges and get things done.

  • Knowledge of local regulations, law and industry expectations, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being flexible with priorities changing.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse big amounts of data, laws and regulations.
