Job Description

We’re looking for a Change Management Specialist to join our growing People function. This role is based in Budapest and sits within the People Programmes, Experience and Analytics team which is responsible for helping to build a high-performing people function.

We aim to apply the principles that guide our external products and offerings - transparent, convenient, fast and eventually free - to our “people products” as well. This role plays an important part in achieving that goal. This role will partner with stakeholders from across the People function and wider Wise organisation to successfully drive change management for large, complex projects, provide advisory support to smaller initiatives as well as leading development of our Change Management Portfolio approach and helping increase change management capabilities across the People team.

This isn’t a job for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. Instead this role will suit someone who wants to collaborate to solve problems, help build something new and work at pace. It’s also a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission and support our employees through their Wise journey.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the People team by:

  • Leading change management for our largest and most complex projects by working with the project team to assess, plan for and lead change management activities for projects with broad, global impact.

  • Developing our Change Portfolio Management approach by defining the approach and ways of working to provide increased visibility of change and better manage the collective impact of change across the organisation. Included in this effort will be developing and owning a “Change Roadmap” for the People Portfolio.

  • Providing change advisory support for smaller projects through providing guidance, supporting tools and templates for those projects where you are not hands-on in leading the change management work.

  • Leading efforts to increase the change management capability of the People team by designing and leading training initiatives, communications, and maintaining knowledge management content, templates and guides.

  • Supporting the People team planning process with a change management lens, helping teams understand and consider the change impacts of planned work early on, and sequence plans accordingly.

  • Building and maintaining trusted partnerships across the People team to enable collaboration, delivery and success on projects.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop as part of a growing team. The People Programmes, Experience & Analytics team has the privilege of working across the entire People function on high-impact projects; you will be an integral part of the team’s evolution and have lots of opportunity to both learn from others in the team and contribute to how we work as a team.

  • Be part of our mission to make Money Without Borders the new normal.

About you:

  • You have demonstrable experience as a change manager - directly leading change management in a global organisation and ideally have a recognised change management certification (PROSCI, APMG, ACMP)

  • You’re hands-on - you actively lead and execute change management activities on large, complex projects, getting hands-on with the detailed work of assessing the change, developing interventions and using your expertise to define, plan and deliver the work.

  • You’re adaptable - you have robust knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools along with the ability to adapt and apply them in a way that suits the environment. You have the experience and confidence to be able to adapt your approach and apply practices that will be effective in context.

  • You’re an excellent communicator and facilitator - you know how to communicate effectively and thoughtfully, by varying your style based on the circumstance. You are a strong facilitator and can effectively lead a group through the process of assessing change, planning and delivering activities to support it.

  • You can upskill others  - you know how to use your knowledge and experience to upskill others around you. You can translate your expertise in a relatable and practical way that others can learn from.

  • You have a collaborative mindset and think globally - you are excellent at working across functions and geographies, able to bring people together to achieve a common goal.

Some extra skills and experience that would be great:

  • You have ideally worked in a high growth, product or service led (ideally tech) company and understand the type of environment you’ll be working in.

  • You may have worked in or closely with a People team.

  • You might have some experience in Change Portfolio Management.
