The Product Academy
Learn the fundamentals of product management and join one of the teams powering Wise as an Associate Product Manager.
What is the Product Academy?
Over 12 weeks, through a blend of learning sessions and hands-on experience, academists gain the skills they need to become Wise Product Managers. The academy takes place in Tallinn and Budapest, and enables us to source great talent from non-Product Management backgrounds and help them become Product Managers to strengthen our product function. Product Managers are incredibly valuable to us - driving impact and always looking out for valuable opportunities for our customers.
Each week, you’ll split your time between hands-on projects and dedicated learning sessions, ensuring you have a comprehensive learning experience.
You'll be placed in one of our teams that both powers Wise, and ensures our customers have a safe and smooth experience when using us. Throughout the program, you'll cover both broad concepts and Wise-specific practices, leveraging the latest tools and real-world examples to gain a deep understanding of what it means to be a Product Manager at Wise.
Upon successfully completing the Product Academy, you'll transition into a full-time member of the Wise Product team.
What you'll learn
During the Product Academy, you'll dive into topics like:
Product vision, strategy & roadmap
OKRs, KPIs & measuring success
Stakeholder management
Planning
Agile development and working with engineers
...And many others!
What you'll gain
- Transition into Product Management: Benefit from a tailored learning program, delivered by experienced product leaders at Wise.
- Apply your skills to real world challenges: Work with engineers and stakeholders to identify problems, propose solutions, and build products.
- Make a measurable impact: Like any other Product Manager at Wise, you’ll spend a significant part of your time in a cross-functional team, delivering real value to customers.
- Experience the full product lifecycle: Go from problem hypothesis and validation to solution implementation, measurement, and iteration.
What are the application stages?
First stage
Screening interview
This will be a conversation to get to know you better. We’ll talk through your experience and hear why you’re interested in joining Wise. You’ll also be able to ask us any questions you might have.
Second stage
Take home task
You will receive a presentation task that you’ll need to complete before your interview. This will focus on your product-thinking and skills.
Third stage
Final interview
Your final interview will be with two Product Managers. This interview will take place either over Zoom or in-person in our office. You’ll need to present your take home task here, which will be followed-up with related questions to assess product mindset and skills.
