Job Description

We are looking for a Team Lead to join our growing Law Enforcement Operations team in Tallinn. The Law Enforcement team acts as a point of contact for different enforcement agencies and its main function is to process different information requests between Wise and external authorities.

As a Law Enforcement Team Lead you are people and operations lead, with a mindset that enables you to build robust and compliant processes. You make sure the team meets different service level agreements, while you take data-based decisions to improve and scale the team's performance and quality.

You’ll be primarily responsible for: 

  • Leading people - hire, develop and run day to day operations, including amongst other tasks planning workforce, performance management, upskilling specialists, organising team activities etc;

  • Ensure that complete, accurate, and timely reviews are conducted;

  • Focus on initiatives that target quality standards and improve operational efficiency;

  • Develop operational processes - create, document and continuously improve operational processes, aiming for scalable, compliant and coherent solutions;

  • Identify opportunities with other Wise's teams to manage operational impact of different changes;

  • Measure and support the alignment of team KPIs and SLAs for success and efficiency;

  • Build and maintain a positive work environment and scaling company culture and values.

 


Qualifications

We are 100% a match if you have strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire the team to work towards a common goal. We are looking for a team lead who is a self-starter with a strong hands-on mentality and proactive way of working, but with great relationship building skills too.

In addition, you should be able to engage internal as well as external stakeholders, and facilitate cross-team collaboration.

More specifically, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate they have these attributes:

  • Prior experience leading an operational team is a must

  • Very good verbal & written English, any other languages are a plus;

  • Excellent documentation skills along with communication and presentation skills;

  • Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and tackle multiple tasks while maintaining a precise and well-structured way of working;

  • Deep understanding and ability to analyse and move the team's metrics;

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You also have the readiness to take ownership of complex problems and propose possible solutions;

  • Ability to identify gaps in policies and processes and provide detailed feedback, including examples when possible, through the established communication channels. You operate and lead according to the company values;

  • You’re a team-builder. You’re not hidden in a corner office somewhere, but rather work among your teams - You are hands on! Developing your team, and ensuring that we’re delivering on the business needs by guaranteeing that our procedures and processes are continuously improved, simplified and aligned clearly at all levels. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders from an array of different teams;

  • You’re punctual, well organised and able to divide their time between specific activities in order to get things done;

  • It's a bonus if you have previous work experience in compliance, anti financial crime or a related field, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
