We are looking for a Team Lead to join our Law Enforcement Operations team in Tallinn. The Law Enforcement team acts as a point of contact for different enforcement agencies and its main function is to process different information requests between Wise and external authorities.
As a Law Enforcement Team Lead you are an operational lead tasked with making sure the team meets different service level agreements while taking data-based decisions to improve and scale the team's performance and quality.
You’ll be primarily responsible for:
Queue management & SLA adherence:
- Ensure that all queues are managed efficiently, with strict adherence to established SLAs and deadlines.
- Actively monitor and assess queue flow, ensuring optimal resource allocation to meet service level expectations.
- Take immediate corrective action if service levels are at risk, and maintain accountability for consistently meeting all performance targets.
Performance management & tracking:
- Set clear and measurable performance standards and hold the team accountable for meeting or exceeding these standards.
- Use key performance metrics (KPIs) and data-driven tools to track individual and team performance.
- Provide real-time feedback and performance reviews, focusing on continuous improvement by conducting regular performance assessments and identifying underperformance with clear, actionable plans.
- Ensure performance metrics are communicated transparently and aligned with overall business objectives.
People management & leadership:
- Provide strong, results-driven leadership, consistently setting expectations and holding the team accountable.
- Address underperformance decisively, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement, while also implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for people-related issues, ensuring swift resolution of conflicts or challenges within the team.
- Lead by example, modeling professional conduct, and holding team members to the highest standards of behavior and productivity.
Operational efficiency & process improvement:
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational processes, optimizing efficiency without compromising quality.
- Foster a culture of accountability and performance excellence, driving operational improvements across all areas of responsibility.
- Implement best practices for managing team workflows, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, and resources are utilized effectively.

We are a perfect match if you possess strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to work towards a shared goal. We’re seeking a proactive, hands-on team lead with exceptional relationship-building abilities. Specifically, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Leadership in operations: proven experience leading high-performing, operations-focused teams.
- Communication skills: fluent in English (verbal & written), with additional languages a plus. Strong documentation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Organizational excellence: excellent at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple demands in a structured, precise manner.
- Metrics-driven focus: deep understanding of team metrics, with the ability to analyze and drive performance.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving: strong ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and take ownership of complex issues.
- Process improvement: skilled in identifying gaps in policies and processes, providing clear, actionable feedback for improvement.
- Alignment with company values: you lead and operate in line with our company’s core values.
Bonus: Experience in compliance, anti-financial crime, or related fields, particularly in fast-paced environments, with a proven track record of leading people.

About the Role
- Location: This position is based in Tallinn, Estonia - we don't offer visa or relocation support for this role!
- Salary: 3200 EUR gross/monthly
