The Talent Development team plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, empowering the growth and success of our teams in achieving our Mission.
As a Learning Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Product and Engineering teams at Wise. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to provide high-impact development opportunities that enhance capabilities, boost performance, and support career progression. You will proactively work with leaders to craft scalable learning interventions, while ensuring the success of training and offsite events.
Key responsibilities:
Proactively engage with senior leadership and the People team to understand the function’s business priorities and goals.
Identify skill gaps and opportunities for development, define clear objectives and design integrated learning solutions that are aligned with the business needs.
Use frameworks like ADDIE to launch full cycle talent development initiatives.
Be a bridge between Talent Development and the function you support to roll out global initiatives.
Coach stakeholders and establish yourself as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
Facilitate leadership development and bespoke team coaching sessions in the London office.
Work closely with our Talent Management and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver a holistic approach to Talent at Wise.
Continuously improve your skills to stay aligned with best practices in the industry.
Background & Expertise Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, ideally in adult learning, business management, or a related field.
Proven experience in Learning & Development, with a strong focus on business partnering, ideally within a tech or product-driven environment.
Experience in needs analysis, stakeholder management, and crafting tailored development solutions for large, diverse teams.
Track record of leading successful learning initiatives and programmes, with a focus on creating scalable solutions.
Experience in designing and facilitating workshops, training programs, and leadership development offerings.
Understanding of the Product and Engineering functions, and a passion for developing talent in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Proficiency in data analysis to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
Core skills:
Strong proficiency in project management and design thinking.
Consultative approach to problem-solving, applying data-driven insights to create tailored solutions.
Confidence in interpreting data and producing data-led, visually compelling presentations.
Organised, detail-focused, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
Adept at stakeholder management, communicating effectively with diverse teams to encourage collaboration.
Experience in virtual and international environments, including hybrid teams.
Excellent command of English; additional language skills are an advantage.
