We are looking for a Cards Settlement Operations Specialist to help us process daily scheme settlement payments at our Tallinn office!
As a Cards Settlement Operations Specialist, you will be involved in processing more than 20+ settlement services across Visa and Mastercard schemes. This role is critical in ensuring Wise remains scheme-compliant from significant late fines and penalties. You'll contribute directly to efficiency and reducing risks for the team by optimising settlement flows and improving invoicing processes.
In this role, you will be expected to:
Perform and maintain consistent and high-level execution of recurring responsibilities in relation to timely settlement fees to schemes (Visa and Mastercard) to avoid late fines and penalties and invoice processing.
Supporting team in reaching main performance metrics targets and SLA's set to Operations organisation.
Owns topics around settlement pay-outs and invoicing uploads from schemes (Mastercard/Visa).
Take ownership of issues relating to settlement pay-outs by investigating and resolving (or, where needed, notify other PayOps/Product team about the need to resolve) and escalate settlement issues in a timely manner
Complete monthly/quarterly reporting under scheme’s requirements based on provided data, ensuring that all fields are correctly filled out and formatted.
Able to report on key changes on operational procedures and keeping track of critical updates.
Identify opportunities to streamline the settlement process, improve efficiency, and reduce the risk of errors or delays
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience working collaboratively in team environments
Demonstrated ability to handle recurring operational tasks with attention to detail
Proven capability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in payments or operations roles
Comfort working with data and analytical tasks
Strong independent working skills and self-motivation
Interest in learning about payment scheme operations and compliance
