Job Description

We’re looking for a Junior People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations team in our Budapest office. This is an exciting time to join us as we move towards Shared Services and continue to scale the team globally. You will be working with our existing team based in Budapest day-to-day providing a seamless and customer focussed experience across the Wiser lifecycle. You will be supporting the team based in Budapest, Tallinn, London and other locations we have globally. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop and add impact to a fast growing team and enable the Global People Operations’ vision to create fast, convenient and transparent Wiser support, powered by smart tech and human advice.

 

Here’s where you’ll have impact:

This role will give you the opportunity to learn about the employment lifecycle and to get an insight to the People Team. As a Junior People Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for:

 

Onboarding support

  • Manage the administrative process of onboarding newbies, ensuring that the Wiser journey is as smooth as possible with everyone involved kept in the loop

  • Coordinate adaptable onboarding plans in partnership with hiring Leads, and collaborate on future changes that align to Wise’s way of working

  • Participate with other members of our wider People team in facilitating newbie engagement & networking

  • Run local onboarding sessions, sharing relevant newbie information for that first week (e.g. joiners, benefits, etc)

  • Be the owner of our onboarding session deck, making sure it's informative and updated

 

Wiser support

  • Champion the People team’s Service Desk with a one-team mentality by responding to queries in an efficient and customer-centric way

  • Process all Workday actions in relation to the Wiser lifecycle

  • Maintain our team's content on Confluence, ensuring information to Wisers is transparent, convenient, easy to remember and updated

  • Support with immigration requirements for our existing Wisers

  • Support our Payroll team with any documentation they need to process changes (joiners, benefits, leavers, etc)

  • Produce any required employment documentation (e.g. reference letters, contract changes, etc)

  • Coordinate health checks requirements 

  • Be the owner of the local maternity process

 

Offboarding support

  • Handle all last day administration for our leaving and relocating Wisers, working closely with our Workplace and UT teams to complete all offboarding steps

 

Wider team/business focus areas

  • Contribute towards local and global projects and initiatives

  • Support any ad hoc People related admin requests

  • Finally, you’re located and legally authorised to work in Hungary.
