Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Senior Manager to join our expanding Performance Insights and Forecasts. This is a critical, high-visibility role at the heart of our company's planning and decision-making process.

You will be responsible for supporting the team that provides the financial and commercial insights that shape our future. You will support our group forecasts, manage our long-range financial plan, and craft the narrative we present to our Leadership Team and Board of Directors. You will also be responsible for the changes needed in forecast as part of high visible and strategic projects currently impacting the Wise Group.

This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who excels at translating complex data into actionable insights and can confidently partner with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

I. Business Performance Insights and Forecasts

  • Drive the company’s long-range strategic and financial planning process transformation, including the 5-year forecast, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Support the rolling forecast process (FP&A), ensuring accuracy and alignment with our strategic objectives.

  • Play a key role in the Monthly Finance Review (MFR) process, preparing materials and providing insightful analysis on financial performance.

  • Lead Finance Transformation & Strategic Projects: Own and manage the finance workstream for critical, cross-functional initiatives. This includes scoping requirements, redesigning processes, and implementing new planning tools or methodologies to support business growth and change.

  • Support senior leadership, Governance Committees, Group Board, and the Financial Reporting and Systems team on key strategic projects.

  • Support the Corporate Finance Team in corporate finance initiatives such as capital and liquidity plans.

II. Leadership & Stakeholder Reporting

  • Craft and deliver insightful presentations for the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors, clearly communicating our financial outlook and growth strategy.

  • Collaborate closely with the Investor Relations (IR) team to provide data and analysis for quarterly Trading Updates and external analyst presentations.

  • Act as a business partner to key departments, providing financial guidance and analytical support to drive better decision-making.

  • Input and develop a team of high-performing financial analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in a relevant field such as Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting. Experience in a high-growth tech or financial services environment is highly desirable.

  • Change Leadership: Proven experience leading finance transformation or change management projects (e.g., system implementations, process re-engineering, integration of new business units).

  • Financial Modelling: Exceptional financial modelling skills are essential. You must be able to build and manage complex, integrated models from scratch.

  • Analytical Rigor: A highly analytical and quantitative mindset with a keen attention to detail and a passion for data.

  • Communication & Storytelling: Proven ability to distill complex financial and commercial information into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for an executive audience.

  • Business Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand and articulate the key drivers of business performance.

  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders, building consensus, and driving change across different functions.

  • Leadership: Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.

  • Qualifications: A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, CFA) is a strong plus.

  • Systems: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. Experience with SQL and BI tools (e.g., Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
