You will lead the Comparison team within the Growth department, driving the strategy and execution of price comparison initiatives to enhance user acquisition, retention, and market competitiveness. This role is accountable for overseeing data collection, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and conducting user research to optimise pricing strategies and user experience. Bringing transparency to the financial industry and uncovering hidden fees is an essential part of Wise's mission, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of this effort. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong understanding of pricing data, leadership experience, and a passion for delivering customer-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage the Comparison team, fostering collaboration and aligning team efforts with company growth objectives.
Develop and implement a comprehensive price comparison strategy to drive user engagement and business growth.
Set KPIs and performance metrics for the team, monitoring progress and optimizing processes for efficiency and impact.
Data Collection & Analysis
Oversee the collection, aggregation, and analysis of pricing data from internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to build and maintain robust data pipelines for real-time price comparison.
Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in pricing data to inform strategic decisions.
Manage ops specialists in charge of data collection and quality assurance.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all price comparison activities adhere to relevant regulations and regulatory requirements.
Implement processes to maintain transparency and accuracy in pricing information presented to customers.
Work with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and address regulatory changes.
User Research & Experience Optimisation
Conduct user research to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points related to price comparison tools and features.
Translate research insights into actionable improvements for user interfaces, product features, and customer journeys.
Partner with UX/UI and product teams to design intuitive, user-friendly comparison experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, product, pricing, and sales teams to align price comparison initiatives with broader growth campaigns.
Collaborate with technology teams to integrate price comparison tools into the company’s platforms and ensure scalability.
Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership to influence pricing and growth strategies.
- Experience in pricing strategy, data analysis, or growth-related roles including experience in leadership positions.
Proven expertise in data collection, management, and analysis, with proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, or similar.
Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including data privacy and consumer protection regulations.
Experience conducting user research and translating insights into product or process improvements.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with a track record of using data to drive business outcomes.
Familiarity with price comparison platforms in a finance environment is a plus.
Salary band: £80,000 - £110,000
