As a Program Manager at Wise, you will be at the forefront of managing complex initiatives that ensure our products and services not only meet but exceed our customer’s expectations. You will lead cross-functional teams through intricate projects that range from Customer outreach, Compliance initiatives, Infrastructure buildouts, Financial Crime and generally improving the life of our Customer and our employees. A key part of your role will be to bridge the gap / orchestrate multi team efforts that require alignment and crisp project related execution and communication.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing to Wise:
Complex Initiative Management:
You will be leading and managing large-scale, complex initiatives that require coordination across multiple departments, including product development, engineering, operations and compliance.
You will develop and execute project plans that address the unique challenges of complex software projects that are intrinsically built to support complex compliance requirements, ensuring timely delivery while surfacing problem areas quickly.
You will also develop Risk Registers to proactively manage risks while creating suitable mitigation plans
Project Management Integration:
You will need to collaborate with Product compliance, Regulatory and Banking Expansion teams to ensure that we are progressing at the right pace.
You will help Compliance teams and Product teams balance out the right priorities while actively managing the right signal to noise ratio.
While doing this, you will create the blueprint for Project Management at Wise by setting a standard and creating multiple success stories.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
You will be the central point of coordination for cross-functional teams by facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
You will consistently engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align complex project goals with business objectives and provide neutral, non-biased updates
Ensure that silo based decisions for specific initiatives are cascaded upwards and downwards effectively.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of complex initiatives, including metrics and risk assessments to senior management and teams within Wise.
Ensure all project management documentation related to assigned initiatives are accurate, comprehensive, and accessible.
Work with Business Ops to improve readiness of complex product feature sets by ensuring Product teams have accounted for this in roll out plans and documentation
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, CCEP) is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in program or project management within the software industry, ideally within the Regulated Fintech or Regtech space that operates at a global level.
Strong understanding of software development processes and regulatory frameworks relevant to the tech industry.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects and lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
