ROLE/JOB PURPOSE
The Root Cause Analysis Data Specialist works with data sets from Customer Advocacy teams (Complaints, Quality) and Servicing Operations to help identify clusters of problematic cases that should be passed on to RCA investigators to deep dive on. The Data specialist also supports the RCA investigation team with sizing the opportunities and prioritising the most important work to be done based on key parameters. This role collaborates with Global BI teams to create self-service solutions to stakeholders and partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Dashboard Creation
Design, develop, and maintain BI reports and dashboards.
Work with business users to understand their reporting needs.
Optimize report performance and usability.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Conduct complex data analysis to extract actionable insights and size opportunities in collaboration with the RCA Investigations team.
Use statistical tools and techniques to support data analysis.
Present findings in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders.
Training and support:
Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and data interpretation.
Create user manuals and training materials.
Assist users in understanding and utilizing reports and dashboards effectively.
Data Quality Management:
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
Develop and enforce data validation rules.
Collaborate with IT to resolve data quality issues.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Reporting and Dashboard Creation
You can query, filter and join multiple datasets using SQL
You can use data platform user interfaces (Looker, Superset and others) to provide self-service data solutions to stakeholders and team members.
You have a good understanding of data warehouse architecture
You know how to create clear and impactful visual representations of data analysis findings. You know which type of chart to use to convey the message and information at hand.
Data Analysis and Insights:
You’re proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, being able to quickly extract measures of central tendency and measures of spread.
You’re knowledgeable in statistical analysis techniques to interpret data and provide insights. E.g Pareto analysis, Chi-squared, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, Regression Analysis.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels.
You can convince others, present your viewpoint and proposed solutions in such a way that helps others take informed decisions
Effective at managing expectations, providing updates, and gathering feedback from stakeholders.
Problem Solving and Initiative:
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify root causes and recommend solutions.
Ability to take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Capability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
