We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to Lead our growing Operations Team.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the team

• Lead 6 Team Leads and 60 Sanctions Agents

• Coach, develop and performance manage the team to drive a high performance culture

• Hiring new staff as you build out your team

• Own demand and capacity planning for your team ensuring we have enough staff to support our customers

• Manage service delivery ensuring your finger is always on the pulse with all queues and customers are not left waiting for responses

• Take ownership of issues and incidents 

• Proactively monitor process controls to ensure consistent performance ensuring any irregularity is investigated.

• Maintain strong relationships with Product, Analytics, Engineering and Compliance

• Become a subject matter expert for processes and tooling.

About you

• 3-5 years experience leading an Operations Team preferably within Financial Crime

• Great communicator both verbal and written

• Experience setting targets and holding your team accountable to them

• You have proven track record of taking individual ownership and responsibilities as well as being a great team-player

• You have good understanding and ability to analyse, forecast and move of team’s metrics

• You can work collaboratively within a complex organisation, across multiple cultures, geographies, and disciplines

• You have project management and organisational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time

• You're able to travel as needed.

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

• Experience in Sanctions 

• Additional language skills in one or more jurisdictions in which Wise has operations.

Hiring Process:

• Application review

• Screening Call with the recruiter (15-20 minutes)

• First interview with two Senior Leads

• Second interview with a Project Lead and another Senior Lead

• Final interview with Global Screening Operations Lead and Head of Fraud

About the Role:

• We are looking to fill this position either in Estonia or Hungary and we offer relocation support!

• Starting salary: 3900 EUR gross/monthly in Estonia, 1,310,000 HUF in Hungary

• Reports to: Global Screening Operations Lead

• Start date: ASAP or January/February 2025
