Job Description

The team you will be joining: Contact Handling

At Wise, our Contact Handling team plays a crucial role in shaping the Customer Support experience. Alongside two other engineering teams, we build and maintain the core systems that ensure seamless support for our customers as we scale. Our mission is simple: create a frictionless, efficient, and intelligent customer support experience.

What do we expect from you?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key player in our team, responsible for designing and implementing solutions to complex problems. You will:

  • work with Java to build scalable, distributed, and concurrent system (we require 6+ years of experience Java or other JVM based language and experience with Spring framework)

  • Navigate and simplify complex systems by introducing well-thought-out abstractions and solutions.

  • Share your expertise, mentor team members, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

  • Strike the right balance between moving fast and ensuring long-term system robustness.

  • Take full ownership of your projects—from ideation to deployment—ensuring they drive real impact. You’ll make decisions — and sometimes honest mistakes. That’s part of the process, and that’s okay.

  • You’ll be collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers and other product teams in order to deliver impact
