The Instructional Designer is responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees. This role involves designing, developing, and evaluating instructional materials and programs that align with the Wise’s goals and objectives.
The Instructional Designer will work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure the learning content meets the needs of the target audience and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design:
Develop instructional materials and courses using a variety of delivery methods including e-learning, instructor-led training, blended learning, and multimedia formats.
- Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (such as ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy) to create effective training programs.
Needs Assessment and Analysis:
- Support learning needs analysis and select the best course formats and concepts for desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
Content Development:
- Design and develop engaging and interactive learning content, including presentations, videos, simulations, quizzes, and other instructional materials.
- Structure existing content into effective training modules and advise on module bundling.
- Ensure content is current, relevant, and aligned with Wise’s goals and standards.
Evaluation and Improvement:
- Implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs and materials.
- Collect and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to make data-driven improvements to instructional content.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple instructional design projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, Learning & development team to ensure project success.
Technology Integration:
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies to design, develop, deliver and track training programs.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology.

You'll develop multimedia content, design interactive e-learning modules, and continually seek ways to improve and innovate the learning experience.
You're reliable. As a key player in the Learning and Development team, you effectively manage, delegate, and contribute to cross-functional projects. You handle multiple tasks and a varied workload with ease, always taking responsibility in challenging situations. In short, you get it done.
You are results-driven. You have experience and expertise in instructional design and educational technology, enabling you to create effective and impactful learning solutions. You set measurable goals, track progress, and adapt as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
