Job Description

We’re looking for a driven and ambitious US Partnership Operations Manager to join our Affiliates & Partnerships team in Austin to speak to high volume Wise clients and manage partnerships in the US. 

This new role will report to the Partnerships Manager in London and your main KPI will be to support the growth of new high volume Wise customers through partnerships in the US. 

As part of your role, you’ll be on the forefront of driving growth and cultivating relationships with customers and partners. You’ll start by managing inbound customer leads referred by partners in the US. Some examples include people relocating to Europe or buying property abroad.  

You’ll own the sales cycle from first contact to post successful transfer follow up. This will include using your Wise product knowledge to help referred leads in every step of their journey at Wise and proactively engaging with them, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions. As part of your role, you’ll need excellent organisation skills to ensure customers get bespoke support on time to improve conversion rates and maximise volume growth. 

You’ll also be in charge of managing partner relationships, proactively informing them about their referrals, updates about Wise new products and meeting them regularly.

Over time, you will also be responsible for growing partnerships in the US. This will include finding new partnership opportunities, convincing them to work with Wise and reporting on performance to the rest of the team. You’ll be expected to attend events in person to meet potential partnerships and customers that can drive volume growth.

You will also work within the Customer Success team in Austin with weekly time allocated to this team to attend training sessions and improve your customer support skills.

Responsibilities of the role include:
Manage partner relationships

  • Speak and meet partners regularly to discuss partnership performance, referral reports, updates about Wise new products and answer any queries.

  • Create supporting marketing material needed to target the partners’ audience.

  • Weekly check-in with partnerships manager to discuss progress, blockers and any suggestions to maximise volume growth.

Manage customer success relationships

  • Manage queries by customers referred by partners, such as product availability, help them during the onboarding process and setting up large transfers.

  • Follow up with unconverted registered users referred by partners

  • Keep lead generation pipelines updated to ensure we track performance of partnerships

  • Attend weekly meetings with Partnerships and Customer Success to provide feedback, learnings and improvements of leads in the US.

Find New Partnership Opportunities

  • Launch partnerships in the US including: sourcing prospects, outreaching, commercial, negotiation, deal set up and reporting

  • Attend events in person to meet new partners and customers and convince them to work with us.

  • Participate in outreach calls to help to convince partners to work with Wise by presenting Wise Large Transfers services.


Qualifications

​​​​​This role is ideal for candidates with mid level experience (3+ years in relevant roles) who are passionate about unlocking true value through new partnerships. 

  • Executive level experience in one of the following roles; 

    • Previous experience working in operational roles, including Customer Support, Customer Success or any other roles facing the customer.

    • Previous experience in sales roles facing the customer

    • You have experience working with cross functional teams 

    • You want to move into a new role linked to acquisition and retention of new customers

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, able to communicate with partners and their customers.

  • Strong planning, organisation and time management skills. Able to create your own KPIs and stick to them. 

  • Great attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Track record of self managing projects and working independently to achieve your goals.

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify performance trends and opportunities.

 

Nice-to-have

  • Experience working in affiliates, business development or in marketing to drive new customer acquisition.

  • Running your own business

  • Experience working with private clients, HNWi or the luxury sector.

  • Fluent in multiple languages ideally Spanish or Portuguese

  • Previously used tools reporting tools like Looker, Google Analytics or Tableau
