Job Description

The team:

We’re looking for an intern to join the Environmental Social Governance (ESG) team. Over the past ten years, Wise has given millions of people and small businesses the power to handle money better. Our responsibility extends further however – to the planet and its communities. The ESG team looks after all things climate and social impact related across Wise, from our climate commitments to our social impact partnerships that work to enable financial inclusion in our vulnerable communities. 

What You'll Experience:

  • You’ll join the ESG team at Wise, working on challenging projects for a 10 week period

  • Working closely with the Environmental, Social Impact and Governance  Manager you’ll be exposed to a range of exciting and impactful projects that will help move Wise forward in their ESG journey. For example:

    • Environment
      Assist with refining the Wise climate strategy in line with internal data, ESG regulations and risks.

    • Social Impact
      Help manage our global humanitarian partnerships.

Qualifications

What does it take?

  • You graduate or have graduated from university in 2024/2025 with a Bachelors degree (we don’t mind what you have studied) 

  • You have a strong interest in ESG, sustainability and social impact and may have some evidence of this through volunteering, society membership or volunteering opportunities

  • You are always curious and enjoy researching and applying critical thinking to your findings

  • You are data driven and have excellent analytical skills, ideally with a good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets

  • You have exceptional verbal & written English skills - communication is a big part of this role and you’ll need to feel confident in presenting your work 

  • You are meticulous with detail and organised by nature, with the ability to manage multiple projects

Although you'll have flexibility around how you work, so that you can have the best learning experience we recommend coming to the office as much as possible in your first weeks!
