We’re looking for a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our Finance team as the Head of External Reporting. This pivotal role will oversee all key aspects of statutory external financial reporting for a dual publicly listed financial services company. Wise is currently listed in the UK and plans to dual list on both the US and UK markets in 2026. This role will design and execute a robust reporting strategy as we transition.
Your mission:
Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards US GAAP and IFRS.
Manage the transition to reporting under a dual listing in both the US and UK Responsible for designing, implementing and filing SEC reports.
Collaborate with a wider range of stakeholders, including risk and legal teams, to ensure robust and best practice non-financial disclosures are applied in annual and quarterly reporting.
Responsible for the end-to-end financial reporting process ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, working closely with finance, product and analytic teams.
Work closely with other teams, such as FP&A, legal, and investor relations, to gather necessary information and ensure consistent messaging.
Serve as the main point of contact for the external audit process, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and auditor queries are addressed in a timely manner.
Prepare comprehensive reporting and audit communications for the Board, including timelines, progress updates, audit findings, and budget adherence.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust internal controls over external financial reporting (e.g., SOX controls) to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
Lead a team of financial reporting professionals (up to 4) and build collaborative internal relationships with other teams.

Contribute to financial sustainability – Work within an international Finance team, gaining extensive knowledge of financial technology and contributing to the financial health of a fast-growing company.
About you:
Theory – You have a professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA or equivalent) with +10 years of proven post qualification experience. Detailed knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting is a must, with demonstrable experience or strong familiarity in these areas.
Practice – You have demonstrable experience preparing or reviewing (i.e through audit) publicly listed Annual Reports and Accounts (ARA) and 20-F/10-K. You have led audits or been a key audit contact and have detailed experience of audit methodology.

Stakeholder management – You exhibit exceptional coordination skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple international and cross-functional teams, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
