Join us for the WiseStart Hackathon in Tallinn, on Friday 28th November, and contribute to the future of finance. This is your chance to collaborate with fellow students and Wisers, and make a real impact on how money moves globally.

Account

Dive into the heart of our multi-currency accounts. How can we make managing money across borders even more seamless and intuitive for our customers?

Business

Focus on the needs of businesses, from freelancers to large enterprises. What tools and features can we develop to help them thrive in the global economy?

Platform

Explore the technology that powers multiple banks and large enterprises, and ask yourself - how do we connect all banks in the world?

Transfers

Reimagine the core of Wise – sending money internationally. How can we make cross-border payments faster, cheaper, and more transparent for everyone?


The challenge

Your team will have 14 hours to develop and present your innovative idea to a panel of Wise judges.

You will receive an information document on your chosen track, and have a briefing call 48 hours before the event. You can begin working in your team to develop your ideas, and come prepared to the hackathon.

On the day, you will have a dedicated mentor from Wise to help you bring your idea to life.

To enter

Teams must consist of no more than 5 students. You must be a student based in Estonia to enter.

You can bring your own laptops and equipment to the event. Tooling is also up to yourselves. We suggest applying for a GitHub Copilot licence - students can use this tool for free. We'll share more information on the tools we recommend closer to the time.

We've got you covered

We'll provide soft drinks, snacks, and a food voucher to keep you energised. You'll have dedicated space to work with your team, plus a chill-out area to relax and recharge.

Everyone that enters will receive the opportunity to apply to our software engineering intern and graduate roles ahead of opening to the public.

First Place:
