Job Description

Wise is launching a major brand campaign to leverage the global excitement of the 2026 World Cup, hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The goal is to drive growth, activation, and engagement for the Wise Card, positioning it as the essential, cost-effective, and secure money solution for both fans travelling to the games and for the millions of global viewers watching from home.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Brand Campaign Manager on a contract basis to lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of this flagship 2026 World Cup campaign. You will be the central project owner, responsible for coordinating all moving parts, managing stakeholders across the business, and ensuring the campaign is delivered on time, on budget, and against its core objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Management: Own the campaign from concept to completion. Develop the master project plan, manage timelines, allocate resources, and oversee the entire execution.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for all internal teams. You will coordinate efforts across:
  • Product and Commercial: Work closely with our card teams who manage the Visa relationship around any product changes (eg card designs) or co-marketing we should activate eg competitions
  • Media (Paid & OOH): Work with the media team to plan and execute activations in key markets (USA, Canada, Australia, UK, etc.).
  • Content & Blog: Oversee the creation of the "Ultimate Fan's Guide" content series and other blog content.
  • PR & Communications: Align on PR outreach, stunts, and activations targeting finance and travel publications.
  • Influencer Marketing: Collaborate with the influencer team to manage relationships with football-focused influencers and potential ambassadors (pundits, ex-players).
  • Local Events: Concept and then deliver the planning and execution of in-market events, such as viewing parties.
  • Campaign Execution: Drive the delivery of all planned initiatives, including custom card designs, real-time rate alerts, media activations, and PR stunts.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Define campaign KPIs and regularly track performance against the three core objectives:

1. Customer Acquisition (New card activations)
2. Retention & Re-engagement (Card spend volume)
3. Brand Awareness & Consideration

  • Budget Management: Manage the dedicated campaign budget, ensuring efficient spend and tracking all costs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Provide regular progress reports and updates to key stakeholders (including campaign RACI leads) and senior leadership.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in brand marketing, with a strong track record of managing large-scale, integrated brand campaigns from start to finish.
  • Exceptional project management and organisational skills; you must be able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable experience in cross-functional coordination, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse teams (PR, Media, Content, Product, etc.).
  • Experience managing third party agencies as well as influencing internal teams
  • Experience across a wide range of marketing channels, including digital, OOH, PR, content, and influencer.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in setting KPIs, tracking campaign performance, and optimising based on data.
  • Proactive, self-starting attitude—you can take a high-level plan and drive it forward independently.

    Desirable (Nice-to-Have):
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or a high-growth tech company.
  • Previous experience with sports marketing or leveraging major cultural events (e.g., World Cup, Olympics).
  • Experience with international campaigns targeting multiple global markets.
  • Familiarity with targeting both "at-home" (global viewers) and "in-market" (travellers) audiences.
