Job Description

Our Board & Executive Talent Team enables us to deliver on our mission by ensuring we have the best leaders for our current & future needs. 

We are a global team who manage our senior leadership & executive hiring as well as Non-Executive Director Board appointments.  We’re looking for an experienced Executive Recruiter to join our team in London on a fixed term contract for 12 months. 

This will be an opportunity to partner with our leaders globally, developing executive search, succession and talent strategies for critical roles in our business.  

What you’ll do.

  • Using executive search methodology, you will own and drive the search strategy for leadership roles, to include:

    • Advising on candidate requirements and market realities;

    • Developing inclusive search strategies to identify and target passive candidates;

    • Building long-term candidate relationships.

    • Guiding candidates through our hiring process whilst enhancing the candidate experience.

    • Assessing executive talent;

    • Negotiating and closing offers.

  • Partnering with talent development leads and people partners you will develop strategies to minimise succession risks, building external succession pipelines and maintaining long term relationships with passive candidates.

  • As a recognised expert in your field, you will develop a trusted advisor relationship with hiring managers and key stakeholders across our people and recruitment teams.

  • You will use market & competitor intelligence, to ensure that we identify, target, and engage with key talent. 

  • You’ll continuously advocate our inclusive hiring practices and help drive our diversity sourcing initiatives.

  • Acting as a mentor to others, you will seek growth and share what you learn.

  • We are a fast growing team and company.  You will be expected to lead and contribute to broader talent initiatives across the organisation.

The experience, background and competencies needed to succeed in this role.

  • You have end to end executive recruitment experience across multiple functions and geographies including product and/or engineering. 

  • You have a proven track record of directly sourcing executive level  passive candidates and hiring exceptional leadership talent.

  • You can demonstrate your ability to deliver an elevated experience to candidates and hiring teams.

  • You have strong stakeholder management skills and have built talent adviser relationships with senior leaders, including C suite.

  • Able to influence senior stakeholders effectively and drive evidence-based decision making.

  • You have well developed sourcing, research and mapping skills and are able to use data to generate insights which translate to action.

  • You have worked in and hired leaders in fast paced, growth environments.  Experience recruiting in a tech or finance organisation would be a plus but is not a prerequisite.

  • You solve problems in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

  • You are an adaptable self-starter - someone who can use their own initiative to keep things running at pace and won’t wait for answers. 
  • You are resilient and curious by nature - you use ambiguity, failures and set-backs as learning opportunities.

This is a London based role and like all roles at Wise our flexible working model allows you to spend time in the office, home or elsewhere to balance your personal life and other commitments.  Once you've onboarded, given the nature of the role you should expect to be in the office around 3 days per week.
