About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Technology Controls Specialist to join our mission and help us build a global platform that’s scalable, reliable, and secure. The Security Controls team plays a vital role in safeguarding Wise’s complex IT landscape. We specialise in the comprehensive testing, assessment, and continuous improvement of technology-related controls.
What will you be working on?
We expect the ideal candidate to be a key player in testing our technology controls with extensive experience in cloud-based environments and security concepts.
The perfect fit will execute both manual and automated testing of controls, have a deep understanding of industry standards (ISO27001, SOX 404, PCI DSS, etc.), and help to drive efficiency in our security practices.
This is a hands-on position in our Engineering organisation and part of the Security Team.
What do you need?
Demonstrable prior experience (e.g., 5+ years) in testing technology controls specifically in cloud-based environments and a deep understanding of the risks that impact this space.
Experience using both manual and automated testing methods to assess design and operating effectiveness, and implementing automated solutions to achieve controls testing efficiencies.
Experience leveraging data / analytics capabilities to drive efficiency in control testing practices.
Practical experience assessing security controls in line with industry standards / security best practices such as ISO27001, SOX 404, PCI DSS, SOC, DORA.
Extensive knowledge of controls across a wide range of technical security domains, including but not limited to: Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management, Asset Management, Change Management, Network Security, Data Protection, and Incident Management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues and control findings to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in developing test plans, executing test procedures, and documenting results.
Experience with GRC tools, audit management software, and security assessment tools.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What do we offer:
Starting salary: £85,000 - £105,000 + RSUs.
