Job Description

As the Third Party Risk Frameworks Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic oversight, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our organization’s Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that blends deep risk expertise with essential change and project management skills, coordinating the uplift and automation of TPRM processes within our core risk management tool.


The Third Party Risk Frameworks Specialist will be instrumental in ensuring the TPRM program is aligned with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and the organization's overall Enterprise Risk Management framework. Your responsibilities will include:

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of critical TPRM activities, including but not limited to:

  • Strategic Alignment and Oversight: Oversee the TPRM program, ensuring its processes and controls are aligned with industry best practices, global regulatory requirements, and the organization’s risk appetite and strategic objectives.
  • Framework Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the comprehensive TPRM framework and policies, ensuring they remain robust and integrated with the wider organizational risk management strategy.
  • Process Design and Control: Develop, maintain, and update TPRM processes and controls. Design detailed procedures, operational oversight controls, and continuous monitoring processes to effectively embed the framework.
  • Reporting and Insight: Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise, developing insightful reports on TPRM status and strategy for the TPRM leadership team and wider senior stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Crucially, this role will operate change management activities, coordinating the uplift and automation of third-party risk processes within our risk management tool.
  • Project Coordination: The Third Party Risk Frameworks Specialist will lead and contribute to cross-team projects aimed at optimizing third-party management processes. This includes planning, execution, and tracking of process automation and enhancement initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously audit current processes with the rest of the leadership team to identify areas for optimization, focusing on driving efficiency and effectiveness through automation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work in close coordination with the entire TPRM Leadership team and the broader Third Party Management team. The Third Party Risk Frameworks Specialist will act as an individual contributor and owner for specific program aspects while also serving as a key team contributor on initiatives led by others.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Works with 2nd line of defense stakeholders, leadership, and other key teams to ensure third-party risk considerations are integrated into the broader organizational risk profile and strategic planning.
  • Risk Culture & Awareness: Build and embed a culture of awareness and continuous improvement within the third-party risk management function, fostering a strong understanding of third-party risk across the organization.
  • Audit Support: Contribute to audits and inspections related to the TPRM scope, providing necessary documentation and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Essential Experience in Change & Project Management: Proven experience operating change management activities and coordinating projects, specifically related to the uplift and automation of risk or compliance processes.
  • Risk Management Expertise: Deep experience in overseeing, maintaining, or enhancing a Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) or similar risk program, with a strong understanding of regulatory expectations.
  • Process Design & Control: Knowledge and experience in developing, documenting, and implementing effective risk processes, controls, and operational oversight procedures.
  • Strategic & Constructive Mindset: A strategic approach that helps improve processes with a long-term vision, focusing on efficiency and risk reduction.
  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including leadership and technical teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in time and project management.
  • Autonomy & Adaptability: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, handling multiple tasks and priorities, and comfortable adjusting to a fast-paced, changing environment.
