As an Account Specialist Team Lead at Wise you’ll play a critical role in strengthening customer relationships, driving sustainable growth, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced, international environment.
You’ll lead a team focused on servicing existing business customers, improving retention, and unlocking upsell opportunities — all while ensuring a seamless, trusted customer experience. Through strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and hands-on involvement, you’ll empower your team to proactively manage customer portfolios and address risks before challenges arise.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and mentor: Foster a culture of excellence and autonomy within your team, providing coaching and supporting individual development plans;
- Drive performance: Analyse team data to optimise engagement. You’ll own the KPIs that matter: SLA adherence (E2E resolution rate and reach speed), quality assurance, and portfolio health (retention and growth);
- Strategise for retention: Guide your team in deepening use and product adoption, ensuring businesses are utilising the full power of the Wise ecosystem;
- Proactive management: Develop and implement proactive outreach strategies across the team’s book of business, preventing churn and supporting customer growth;
- Stay hands-on: You’ll manage your own select portfolio of key customers and be ready to dive "into the rabbit hole" of data or compliance whenever the team needs an expert hand.
We are looking for a lead who gets stuff done and thrives in the fast-paced world of high-growth FinTech.
You bring:
- Proven leadership: You have experience leading teams or acting as a senior mentor in a fast-paced Customer Success or Account Management environment;
- The FinTech "Edge": You understand how cross-border payments work. You’re familiar with SEPA, FPS, SWIFT, and the business financial landscape;
- Data-Driveness and assertiveness: You are comfortable connecting the dots between operational, product, and financial data to make smart, accountable decisions;
- Compliance mind: You have a solid understanding of KYC principles and can spot red flags that others might miss;
- Strategic problem solving: You identify root causes and implement lasting process improvements to prevent recurring issues;
- Adaptability: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment, adapting priorities while keeping your team aligned;
- Right to Work: You are eligible to work in Hungary (we're not able to offer visa support for this role).
Onboarding & Tools
You’ll go through a comprehensive onboarding programme with the Account Management Team, covering product knowledge, compliance requirements, and tooling to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
You’ll work with a wide range of systems and tools, including (but not limited to):
Google Sheets, Klaus, Zendesk, Twilio, Superset, Looker, Salesforce, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Confluence, Slack, Webexpenses, Google Calendar, SailPoint.

Salary range for this role: 1,070,000 - 1,360,000 HUF gross monthly
