To do this for our 16+ million customers, we need to build world-class operational services that are fast, accurate, and scalable.

Our CS and KYC Operations teams are on a critical path to scale by accelerating our adoption of Artificial Intelligence. We are building a hybrid workforce where every team member is empowered by an AI 'Agent' working alongside them. To supercharge this effort, we're looking for a hands-on AI Implementation Senior Manager to join us and turn AI concepts into practical, impactful solutions for our global teams.

This role sits within the Transformation Governance and Strategy team (TGS) and will report into the Head of TGS. The TGS team itself acts as an engine for change that designs and executes the large-scale initiatives and governance frameworks required to scale Wise’s operations.

Your Mission

We aren't looking for a project manager to oversee AI; we’re looking for a builder to architect it. At Wise, AI isn't a side project, it's the new backbone of our Servicing engine. You will be the bridge between our massive operational scale and the frontier of agentic reasoning

You’ll have direct access to our AI orchestration layers (Credal, Gemini, Agentspace). No and a mandate to move from prototype to production at Wise speed.

As the engine room for our operational AI adoption, your primary focus will be to bring our AI strategy to life by building the tools our teams need. You will:

  • Opportunity Diagnosis: In collaboration with other TGS specialists (e.g. CI, Transformation Managers etc.) You will audit our most complex business workflows, identifying where 'human-in-the-loop' processes can be evolved into autonomous agents that reason, decide, and execute.

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of building and deploying AI Agents. You will design AI integrations that respect Wise’s back-end architecture. You aren't just writing prompts; you are mapping data flows and ensuring that AI outputs integrate seamlessly into existing operational tools without creating manual workarounds or 'shadow' systems.

  • Leverage your SQL skills to master the data. You will extract, transform, and load necessary data from various sources to train and inform our AI agents, ensuring they are accurate and context-aware.

  • Collaborate across the business to deliver robust solutions. You will work side-by-side with our "AI Champions" and operational experts to solve real-world problems, while proactively engaging with Privacy, Security, and Compliance to ensure your solutions are secure, compliant, and launched efficiently.

  • Iterate, Monitor, and Improve. You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and continuously improving the agents you build to ensure they remain effective as our business and the technology evolves.

  • Scale your impact through documentation and best practices. You will document your solutions, contribute to our central AI knowledge wiki, and help upskill the wider organization by sharing your work.


Qualifications

This role is for you if you have…

We're looking for someone who is passionate about the practical application of AI and has a strong technical foundation.

  • Hands-on AI implementation experience. You have demonstrable experience building AI agents or automations and are an expert prompt engineer.

  • Systems & Data Integration. Expertise in SQL and a deep understanding of system architectures. You must be able to navigate Wise's data gateways to ensure AI agents are consuming high-fidelity data and returning structured, actionable results back into our core processing engines.

  • A strong understanding of AI. Beyond a conceptual grasp of AI, you have a foundational understanding of programming and backend architecture. You can evaluate how LLMs integrate with complex data gateways and system flows. This ensures your solutions are scalable and "clean," preventing technical debt and the need for downstream "damage repair" by Product and Engineering teams.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset. You have a proven track record of taking ownership, working collaboratively in a complex organization, and driving projects to completion. You don’t need a project manager to open doors for you. You are a "free-standing" operator, capable of building solid cross-functional relationships with Product and Engineering teams independently. You ensure our TGS-led AI initiatives are in lock-step with the company’s broader technical direction, proactively identifying dependencies and preventing "shadow-tech" or duplication.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for iteration. This is a highly experimental space. You are comfortable navigating uncertainty, grounding your approach in empirical testing, and embracing failure as a learning opportunity.

  • Excellent communication skills. You are proactive, clear, and concise, with the ability to translate complex operational needs into technical requirements.

  • Bonus points for:

    • Direct experience with our current toolset: Credal.ai, Gemini, NotebookLM, or Google Agentspace.

    • Subject-matter expertise in a core servicing area like Payments, Customer Support, Financial Crime, or KYC.
