Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to lead analytics for our Product Led Marketing channels at Wise, with a primary focus on our Invite (referral) program and secondary coverage of SEO. As a key member of the Marketing Analytics team, you will report to the Head of Marketing Analytics and work closely with our Product Led Marketing Lead to drive growth across these organic acquisition channels.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of Product and Marketing. You will partner closely with Product Managers building the invite experience, while also serving as a strategic analytics partner to the Marketing team who drive referral campaigns and promotions. You will own the measurement frameworks, ensure data integrity, and provide the analytical leadership to unlock new growth opportunities within our referral program.

Key Responsibilities:

Invite/Referral Program (Primary Focus):

  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for our Invite program, working closely with the Product Led Marketing Lead and Product Managers to optimise the end-to-end referral experience.

  • Analyse the referral funnel to identify drop-off points—from invite send to recipient sign-up to first transaction—and recommend product or messaging improvements.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of different referral incentive structures (e.g., reward amounts, two-sided vs. one-sided rewards, tiered rewards) and their impact on invite volume, conversion, and customer quality.

  • Assess invite channel performance (email, WhatsApp, link sharing, in-app prompts) to understand which channels drive the highest quality referrals across different markets.

  • Partner with Marketing to measure the impact of referral campaigns and promotional pushes, understanding how marketing activations influence invite behaviour.

  • Build segmentation frameworks to identify our most valuable referrers and understand what drives customers to invite others.

  • Develop predictive indicators for referral propensity to help Product and Marketing target the right customers at the right moments.

SEO (Secondary Focus):

  • Partner with the SEO team to understand organic search performance across markets and identify content or technical opportunities.

  • Analyse landing page conversion rates and user journeys from organic search to help optimise the acquisition funnel.

  • Support keyword and market prioritisation decisions with data on search volume, competition, and conversion potential.

Cross-Functional:

  • Design, implement, and own measurement frameworks for Product Led Marketing channels, including performance tracking, forecasting, and incremental impact assessment.

  • Design and execute experiments (A/B testing, holdout testing, geo testing) to validate growth strategies and quantify the true incremental value of referral initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Data Science on attribution modeling and understanding the interplay between organic referrals and paid acquisition.

  • Contribute to data quality improvements by working with Product and Engineering teams to ensure reliable tracking of invite events and SEO performance.

  • Manage and mentor analysts within the team, fostering their professional development and building strong analytics capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing or growth analytics, ideally with exposure to referral/invite programs, viral loops, or product-led growth mechanics.

  • Proven track record of influencing product and marketing decisions through data-driven insights.

  • Experience working with ambiguous problem spaces and structuring analytical approaches from opportunity identification through to measurable outcomes.

  • Comprehensive technical skillset spanning insight generation, data modeling (dbt), reporting, and statistical testing methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, incrementality testing).

  • Extensive proficiency in advanced SQL for complex data manipulation in a data warehouse environment (e.g., Snowflake).

  • Experience with a programming language such as Python or R for data analysis.

  • Strong understanding of funnel analytics, cohort analysis, and customer segmentation.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both Product and Marketing stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in fintech, e-commerce, or a comparable high-growth technology industry.

  • Direct experience analysing referral or invite programs, including incentive optimisation and viral coefficient measurement.

  • Experience with SEO analytics, including understanding of organic search metrics and content performance.

  • Experience collaborating with Data Science teams on predictive modeling or propensity scoring.

  • Prior people management experience.
