Wise is one the fastest growing companies in Europe and we’re on a mission: to make money without borders the new normal. We’ve got over 16 million customers across the globe and we’re growing. Fast.
Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply.
So, we’re building a new one.
And, we need an Engineering Lead to join our mission and help us build a global platform that’s scalable, reliable and secure. We’re working on lots of exciting challenges, and you’ll dive right into projects helping consumers and businesses receive and send money from anywhere in the world.
Team you will be working with: Payin Platform
More about our mission and what we offer.
The Payin Platform team own the systems through which all money flows into Wise, whether that’s to top-up an account, send money across borders, or to help our customers to receive money from their customers. Payin is a critical component to the Wise money-movement machine and we’re looking for an engineer motivated to come and help us build it.
The Payin Platform is an internal API product. We make it as easy as possible for teams to start building on our platform and helping Wise customers to pay in new ways and for new features and services. From topping up a USD balance by paying in BRL with Pix, to a UK business requesting payment from a business in Hungary and allowing them to pay in HUF with a credit card. Our API product facilitates these inflows and presents a unified view of the money movement that consolidates all of these use-cases.
The team is rapidly expanding to take on more scope with the plan to become two teams in early 2026. The second team will own the recurring payin flows (variable repeat payments, direct debits, subscription payments).
