We’re looking for a Finance Manager, Pacific to join our finance team in Sydney, Australia!
If you’ve got Finance experience in Statutory Reporting (GAAP), Management Reporting (IFRS/US GAAP), Financial Reporting, Process & Controls and are eager to contribute as a Finance Business Partner leveraging your technical finance skills combined with Commercial Finance acumen for one of the fastest-growing FinTech companies, we want to hear from you.
As Wise continues to grow, we need to grow our finance capabilities to:
- Ensure we comply with accounting, regulatory and tax requirements.
- Work with the Head of Finance Pacific, as well as other Finance Lead(s), Regional Controllers and the Reporting & Tax teams to ensure financial compliance, including controlling local audits, outsource firms, and financial regulatory relationships.
- Support the regional Expansion, Banking, Compliance, Product, & People Teams to ensure that all new entities, products, legislation, etc. are understood and finance is prepared for all changes, ensuring that the customer product is understood and optimised for growth.
- Work with finance teams (Finance Product team and Group Accounting) to ensure systems, controls, and processes are prepared for local requirements.
- Review monthly and quarterly financials to ensure all accuracy of your entities.
A bit about you:
- You're a finance professional with a background in financial controlling, audit, or management accounting, ideally within Banking, FinTech, or financial services.
- You have a deep understanding of Statutory GAAP in Australia/New Zealand and IFRS, coupled with expertise in financial resources controls and industry-specific regulatory rules.
- You're skilled at data analysis, improving controls and internal processes, and managing complex stakeholder groups (like the Auditors and Advisors).
- As a finance business partner, you provide financial analysis to support decisions.
- You thrive in a flexible environment, working with various teams on projects and ad-hoc requests.
- You're a self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable with uncertainty, able to organise your work with minimal guidance.
- You'll support the compliance of Wise Australia's Financial Resources Process and Controls as required, under Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) or other applicable regulations.
- This is a hybrid role based in Sydney, Australia.
