Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Product Specialist to join our Global Product Operations team (Account domain) to help build the world's best account for managing and moving money. 

As a Senior Product Specialist you will take full ownership and responsibility of the Account domain and the execution of large scale/high complexity projects with an emphasis on operationalising new products or features and improving existing operational processes connected to the Account product domain, making sure that the processes scale well, are efficient and mitigate or minimise risks. The role isn't just about driving improvement, but about setting the stage for long-lasting innovation and growth which hand in hand support Servicing. This role has influence on high-level decisions, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution & Impact: Creates vision and strategy for their working group which align with Servicing and Product strategy. Defines team-level priorities and is able to contextualise team objectives within the broader context of Wise
  • Project Ownership: Takes ownership of high complexity projects from discovery to execution, creating a structured roadmap, collaborating across teams, conducting testing and refining solutions.
  • Operational Scalability: Focus on scaling operations of new and existing products and/or features to ensure efficiency, risk mitigation and enhanced deflection and automation.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Engages cross-functional teams to drive strategic alignment and execution. Represents the team in broader organizational discussions, may collaborate with multiple Product teams/cross-squad level.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Acts as the first-level escalation point, addressing and resolving domain-related issues while collaborating with risk teams to validate and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Performance Measurement: Defines and tracks KPIs for large-scale projects, ensuring business impact for new and existing products/features, ensuring ongoing improvements and alignment with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • You’re located in Tallinn, Estonia and have a right to work here (we don’t offer relocation nor visa support for this role).
  • You have a strong technical understanding of product and payment operations processes, and you can apply this knowledge to develop and recommend effective solutions.
  • You have delivered large scale projects working with engineers or other product or operational teams and can demonstrate clear impact on your projects. You have experience making improvements to a product or service.
  • You’re experienced in process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
  • You have a track record of achieving targets and goals, setting and monitoring success.
  • You are able to clearly articulate, simplify and scope problems, and follow through to completion. You can identify gaps in processes and show initiative to independently solve new issues.
  • You have the technical understanding of the product and payment operations processes and the ability to apply it to develop and/or recommend solutions.
  • You listen and empathise with the customer and team challenges. You are passionate about finding solutions that impact Servicing teams and customers positively.
  • You’re data minded, comfortable getting your own data and building dashboards using BI tools like Looker. You can work with data and customer insight to learn about problems, and scope and measure impact of problems and solutions.
  • You measure all solutions against cross team and customer impact and are able to magnify customer impact by identifying if solutions can be globalised to other teams/products.
  • You’re comfortable communicating with different levels of stakeholders, from senior leadership to specialist level, and know how to tailor your communication for the audience.
  • You're comfortable providing feedback and speaking up if actions or solutions go against Wise’s principles or mission, and when initiatives or projects introduce unnecessary risks.
  • You actively seek stakeholder feedback and empathise with viewpoints and feedback from others.

  1. Screening call: We’ll evaluate your experience and skills.
  2. Take Home Test: (5 calendar days to complete)
  3. First Interview: Meet with our two Team Leads.
  4. Final Interview: Meet with one of our Product Managers or senior leadership for an in-depth discussion.
