As the Learning Experience Lead for Payment Operations, you'll build and lead the execution of world-class training for Wise's global payment engine.
This is a player-coach role where you'll lead a high-performing team of Learning & Experience Specialists, set the standard for delivery excellence, and ensure learning is a practical, effective part of the Payment Operations employee journey.
Achieving your mission:
Delivery & Operations
- Own the training delivery roadmap for Payment Operations, translating learning strategy into concrete delivery schedules with clear half-year objectives.
- Champion world-class facilitation standards, ensuring your team has deep subject matter expertise and can deliver engaging, impactful sessions for technical audiences.
- Use analytics to measure training effectiveness (satisfaction, knowledge retention, on-the-job application) and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the entire training portfolio from new hire onboarding to upskilling programs, managing all scheduling, resource planning, and execution for a seamless learner experience.
- Define and track key metrics (e.g., new hire ramp-up time, proficiency gains) and report on training effectiveness to business leaders.
- Build relationships with key leaders and Subject Matter Experts across Payment Operations, Product, and Engineering to position the training team as a trusted partner.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop your team into a world-class delivery unit, fostering a culture of autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build capability through development plans focused on facilitation skills and subject matter knowledge.
- Act as a consultant on project management best practices, ensuring all training projects have clear scopes, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
- Create and implement clear career paths for your team, ensuring opportunities for mastery and growth.
- Manage performance expectations, including mandatory training completion, policy compliance, and healthy work-life balance through effective capacity management.
- You have excellent command of written and spoken English
- You have expert-level facilitation and training delivery skills with deep subject matter expertise in a technical/operational field
- You're data-driven with advanced skills in analysing training effectiveness
- You have advanced project management skills
- You're an inspirational leader and coach with strong stakeholder influence
- You're highly adaptable, proactive, and have outstanding attention to detail
- You have an owner's mindset with deep curiosity for complex operations and genuine passion for helping people learn
- You have a degree in Adult Learning, Communications, or related field (nice to have)
- You have certifications in facilitation (e.g., CPTM), coaching, or project management (nice to have)
- You have experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau (nice to have)
- You have experience with process design and improvement methodologies (nice to have)
