Job Description

About the Procurement Specialist role:

The Procurement Specialist is the intermediate-level role of the Wise TPM team. Specialists are the backbone of third party management in Wise, especially when it comes to vendor selection and negotiations. They oversee the full lifecycle management of the third party portfolio belonging to them. This includes managing negotiations, stakeholders, elements of risk, and projects related to vendors. Specialists are independently responsible for managing the vendor strategy, and are able to advise stakeholders relevant on that scope. Specialists work in close collaboration with all departments in defining key objectives for the full domain, and are able to influence strategic plans using their expertise in their field. Acting as the first line in the relationship between Wise and its third parties, the Procurement Specialists are crucial in making sure Wise’s global and regional objectives are properly reflected in how we work with our vendors. 
 

What you’ll be doing as a Procurement Specialist:

Vendor Negotiations

  • Lead and manage negotiations with third parties on behalf of Wise.

  • Identify optimisation opportunities with third parties to improve Wise operations.

  • Develop and execute strategies with internal stakeholders for complex negotiations to achieve optimal commercial and operation outcomes for the company.

Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Wisers to work on complex projects, contributing your expertise and skills to achieve project goals.

  • Work together with Senior Specialists and the TPM Lead in defining key objectives, and plans for the third party portfolio of the relevant domain.

  • Understand and assist in addressing Risk-related challenges for third parties, in cooperation with the TPRM team.

Relationship Building

  • Recognise the importance of building effective relationships within the team, with vendors and across the organisation. Foster strong connections to enhance collaboration, growth, provide assistance, and share critical information

  • Act as an advisory to internal stakeholders, based on market knowledge, procurement processes, and your specific expertise

  • Independently lead communication with partners, fostering effective dialogue between internal and external stakeholders; adeptly handle challenging discussions with professionalism and empathy.

Sourcing and RFPs

  • Conduct market research and deepen understanding of relevant products to propose potential solutions and contribute to strategic decision-making.

  • Work together with internal stakeholders to create RFP requirements and documents. 

  • Manage the overall Requests for Proposals (RFPs) process and advise stakeholders on best practices.

Process Improvement

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement both within and outside of the Procurement team scope, and propose innovative solutions to improve group-wide processes, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the procurement process, leveraging best practices and lessons learned from past negotiations.

 


Qualifications

You are the perfect fit if you have:

  • Previous Procurement/vendor management related experience.

  • A good commercial acumen. 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.

  • Excellent time and project management skills.

  • Good client relationship and communication skills.

  • A "can do" attitude and a passion to tackle challenges.

Nice to have skills : 

  • Applied contract negotiations skills 

  • Contract management experience

  • Advanced data analytical skills

Additional Information

Starting salary: 2650 EUR gross per month. (+RSUs)
