More about our mission and what we offer.
What this role is about
We’re looking for a Product Manager to shape how Wise builds and uses data at scale. You’ll build platform capabilities that make data feel like a great product: easy to find, easy to trust, and safe to use across engineering, product, analytics, risk, privacy and operations.
You’ll own product work that replaces siloed knowledge and manual processes with clear, self-serve workflows. That means helping teams understand what data exists, who owns it, how it’s produced, what it can be used for, and how to get access. You’ll build tooling that supports data classification, permitted usage, and retention and deletion requirements as part of everyday work - not as extra process.
The outcome is simple: teams spend less time chasing definitions, debugging numbers, or searching for the “right table,” and more time shipping. You’ll also help lay the foundations that make Wise’s data ready for AI, enabling smarter internal tools and safer customer experiences.
This is a hands-on role with close collaboration across engineering and partner teams. You’ll learn quickly, ship practical improvements, and directly influence how data is found, understood and used across Wise.
We’re building a team that reflects the customers we serve, and we value diverse backgrounds and paths into product. If you’re excited by the problem and can learn quickly, we’d love to hear from you - even if you don’t meet every requirement. We’re looking for curiosity, sound judgement, and a collaborative mindset.
What to expect in the role
As a PM in Platform, you will be responsible for the product impact of key parts of our data productivity and governance platform. This is the trust and navigation layer that helps teams move quickly, while keeping data secure and compliant by default.
Make data self-serve
Improve discovery with strong metadata, clear ownership, and simple trust signals.
Help teams quickly answer everyday questions: What is this data? Can I trust it? Where did it come from? Who owns it?
Turn governance into product
Build low-friction workflows such as secure, auditable, and usable access requests.
Translate privacy, security, and regulatory requirements into practical tooling so teams can do the right thing by default.
Prepare Wise’s data for AI
Build foundations like high-quality metadata, lineage, classification, and reliability signals.
Scale through automation, including automated classification and durable documentation.
Own delivery end to end
Lead capabilities from discovery and design through delivery and adoption.
Partner with engineers and architects to scope work, make trade-offs, and measure impact across reliability, scalability, efficiency, and performance.
Drive adoption and outcomes
Run pilots, onboard teams, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
Track outcomes such as adoption, asset ownership and tagging, time to access, and fewer incidents caused by unclear definitions or unknown lineage.
About you
We are looking for someone who is curious, structured, and motivated by making complex systems feel simple.
What we are looking for
2 to 4 years’ experience in product, technical programme, analyst, or adjacent roles, ideally in data, platform or security related products.
Experience shipping product work end to end, from problem discovery to delivery and adoption.
Comfort writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria and lightweight roadmaps, with the ability to break down ambiguity into practical steps.
You are comfortable operating in a federated ownership model, where teams own their own data and systems. You can influence without authority and build alignment across multiple stakeholders.
You can discuss APIs, metadata, data storage concepts, and basic lineage and trust trade offs with engineers.
You enjoy talking to users, observing where they struggle, and turning that into product improvements.
Clear communication: strong written and verbal skills, able to bring stakeholders along and explain decisions without jargon.
What will set you apart
Familiarity with data discovery and catalogue tools (DataHub, OpenMetadata, Unity Catalog), data profiling, or automated classification and PII detection.
Exposure to privacy or compliance engineering (ROPA, deletion and retention requirements, consent management) or regulated contexts (GDPR, APRA).
Interest in AI enablement: how metadata, lineage and quality signals unlock better automation and safer ML.
