As a financial institution moving billions of customer money in over 70+ countries, Wise must have
bulletproof financials. We need timely, accurate and scalable financial data to be compliant with
regulations and make accurate business decisions inside the company. With the continued and rapid
growth globally, we’re looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to join the team.
Jointly with the Data Analytics, Regional Controllers and Compliance, you will own the responsibility of
working with existing and new regulators, which is a key function for Wise. This role gives a great
entry point to the world of Wise, as well as the chance to be at the very fundamental regulatory
focused part of the business.
Your mission:
- To build trust with our global regulatory bodies through the timely submission of complete and accurate periodic reports
- Maintain and build strong relationships with Regulatory bodies around the world by ensuring compliance to Reporting Guidance through our report submissions.
- Reduction of all inherent risks in a process by helping build a well controlled end-to-end reporting environment which is audit ready
- Accountability over Finance consumed attributes ensuring that these are complete, consistent and accurate
- Completion of Regulatory audits (internal/external/regulatory) with minimal to no high-risk findings and ensuring corrective action plans are in place and monitored.
- Put together ad-hoc financial reports

Job Specification:
- Work with Data Analytics, Compliance and Regional Controllers to help build compliant reports for submission to regulatory authorities including impact assessments for any new/updated regulations
- Assist Product Implementation Teams on new product initiatives by providing downstream reporting impacts and ensuring product set-up is built right from Day 1
- Compile and complete timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports to regulatory authorities
- Build controls for the end-to-end reporting process and ensure that this is compliant to the overall Regulatory Reporting Framework
- Automation of the Reporting Process directly from source systems with clear definitions and change management through collaboration with Data Engineering and Data Analysts
- Provide support to Regulatory audits (internal and external) through audit walkthroughs and proper documentation of each reporting process
- Help the Regulatory Reporting team grow by contributing to process and system improvements to create a well-functioning and controlled global risk environment
- Put together ad-hoc financial reports
Specific Responsibilities:
- Take over periodical regulatory reporting for our largest markets in APAC, namely Singapore, Philippines, Japan (etc).
- Help, support and build the reporting requirements for APAC emerging markets (Thailand, India, Hongkong)
- Assist in the implementation of a Controlled End-to-end APAC Reporting Process
- Perform impact assessments on the existing reporting process due to changes in Regulatory Requirements and any new product launches/licenses in the region.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of periodic reporting.
- Document detailed guidelines for compiling regulatory reports and ensure periodic updates.
- Together with Reporting Specialists and Regional Controllers make sure key reporting
requirements for data are being accurately extracted and defined in the finance database
(metrics, parameters etc.). - Improve the Control Frameworks over Finance Consumed Attributes to ensure assurance
over completeness and accuracy of Data - Help define and mitigate the risks around regulatory reporting in APAC together with Compliance to document risk framework and potential consequences. .
- Provide ad-hoc reports and support during audit reviews.
A bit about you:
- You have prior experience in either regulatory reporting or financial reporting, controlling, audit or management accounting would be preferable
- You are highly skilled in working with large datasets and building financial reports for fast pace and growing institutions
- You have an ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- You have advanced financial and/or data reporting and analytical skills
- You are able to deal with internal or external stakeholders (preferably regulators) on a regular basis, communicating reports, definitions, requirements etc
- You are a self-starter and can organize and prioritize your own work
- You are accurate and detail oriented, great at finishing detailed jobs and meeting deadlines.
- You enjoy challenging the status quo and continuously seek improvement opportunities
- You are open to self-development, willing to gain experience, improve your skills and keen
to learn new tricks - Accounting background : CPA/ ACA / ACCA/ Other relevant qualification
Bonus points for:
- Regulatory Reporting Experience with Regulators in different jurisdictions
- Audit experience either as the Auditor or worked closely with Auditors
- Previous experience in a financial institution, preferably in banking, investment companies, e-money and payment institutions
- SQL/ Python or other programming language experience
