About the role:
The Account team empowers every Wise customer with the clarity and control they need to unlock the full potential of their wealth. We own the key surfaces that provide transparency, control, and relevant recommendations across all money movements—from spending and saving to borrowing and sharing.
Our mission is to move beyond static transaction lists to a stellar insights experience by delivering a holistic view of a user’s financial life (both within and outside Wise), driving higher engagement, retention, and long-term loyalty.
You’ll join a tight, cross-functional team working closely with a Product Manager, analysts, a designer, and a content designer. Our major focus for 2026 is “Contextual Recommendations & Data Foundation”and you’ll be instrumental in evolving our architecture from “on-the-fly” calculations to a robust, high-performance data aggregation infrastructure. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on the core insights experience for millions of active users, involving complex data and performance challenges across currencies, regions, and external providers, and deep collaboration across Wise to bring multiple domains into a single, cohesive customer story.
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Insights team. The team is the primary gateway into Wise, responsible for the dashboard users see when they first log on. We provide summaries of customers’ recent actions, own the primary mechanisms to send push notifications and emails, and manage insights to help our customers identify ways to get more out of Wise.
