Join our FINANCE team and help navigate us through a critical transformation
The Finance team is critical in supporting the Wise mission. We are working to become listed in the US stock exchange in 2026 and need to ensure our accounting function is set-up to meet the respective regulatory requirements.
We’re looking for a SENIOR TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING MANAGER to join us
As a Senior Technical Accounting Manager in the Finance team, you will contribute to our mission by ensuring the accounting for our new products and services in the financial systems is accurate and complete and in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP to meet our reporting needs.
Your mission
Ownership of accounting for financial instruments under IFRS and US GAAP: You will be responsible for understanding the why and how of different accounting areas. This includes documenting accounting position papers and explaining the accounting for these to Finance stakeholders, product teams across Wise and to external auditors.
Collaborate cross-functionally to embed accounting into the business not just into the books: You will collaborate with different teams in Finance and Wise to advise on the accounting for new products and services under IFRS and US GAAP ensuring the processes are set up and and accounting policies updated to reflect it.
About you
Theory – strong knowledge in respect of accounting for financial instruments under IFRS and US GAAP. Professional finance qualification such as the ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
Practice – You have prior experience (5+ years) as a Senior Technical Accountant or Senior Accounting Adviser. You have managed accounting implementation projects and demonstrated resilience to break through and overcome challenges.

Love getting things done – You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility to do whatever needs doing to solve problems.
Collaborative and influencing skills – You work well in an international team environment, and know how to have an impact through others. You have partnered with internal and external stakeholders and have strong communication skills.
Development – You are keen to learn and develop your knowledge of how a FinTech and fast growing scale-up operates.
