Job Description

About the role:

Team you will be working with: GetPaid

The GetPaid team is dedicated to creating seamless and efficient solutions for customers to receive money directly into their Wise accounts. You will be working in products like our Payment Links, Invoice and QuickPay, as more to come, as well as our in-network payment method: Pay With Wise. Our goal is to make  receiving money internationally as cheap and convenient as possible.

Being a member of Mobile engineering, you are encouraged to influence other parts of the app, collaborate with 60+ other mobile engineers and help raise both the UX and code quality across all Wise customers. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the solutions you build scale and fit well in order to achieve a high quality global product and collaborate often with your peers across other teams as well.

How we work:

The GetPaid team is part of the Global Product tribe, dedicated to enabling customers to receive money seamlessly and efficiently into their Wise accounts. We build innovative payment products that serve both businesses and consumers, creating convenient and reliable ways to get paid internationally.

What will you be working on?

  • Invoice and payment link tools

  • Enabling new regional payment methods like PayNow, PayId and Interact

  • Making our in network payment method (“Pay with Wise”) move convenient and seamless

  • Enabling our products in more regions

 


Qualifications

What do you need?

We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Proven experience in building and deploying an application that delights customers

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin

  • Familiarity with modern app architectures like Unidirectional Data Flow, Dependency Injection, Structured Concurrency with Kotlin Coroutines, amongst others

  • Desire to write testable code

  • Understanding of REST API design

  • Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, with a focus on prioritising work that addresses user needs and making data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, as well as independently and proactively solve problems. 

Nice to Have:

  • Any experience with declarative UI (Compose), Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) would be great!
