More about our mission and what we offer.
Your mission:
We're seeking a Staff Design Researcher to join our FinCrime Squad in London. You'll play a crucial role in balancing customer experience with compliance requirements, ensuring our financial crime prevention measures are both effective and user-friendly.
What you’ll be doing:
Identify and prioritise high-impact research opportunities that improve customer experience and operational processes.
Shape research strategy and direction for the FinCrime squad, aligning current and future work with our broader mission.
Set the bar for outstanding customer understanding across all project sizes.
Use diverse research methods to uncover insights about complex financial crime prevention challenges.
Create clear narratives that make complex topics accessible to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Work across multiple teams to solve intricate problems with cross-functional partners.
Build and maintain a healthy research culture within the organisation.
Mentor emerging researchers and shape collaborative practices that elevate the entire team.
Here’s how you’ll be contributing:
You'll have a significant impact on improving the understanding of the Wise customer’s contexts, problems and goals.
You'll get to know teams across the full breadth of the business to uncover opportunities.
You'll be using your full range of Design Research skills to discover, craft and deliver well rounded insights that ensure a deeply understanding of the customers.
You'll be influential in your team, increasing customer-centricity, creativity, and research quality.
You'll meet agents, build empathy and understand what challenges they face when using our internal products.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
Ship work you’re proud of. Craft experiences that are innovative, easy to use and clear.
Own your impact. Product teams decide what opportunities to work on, and define their success metrics.
Elevate product quality. You define what ‘good’ looks like to your team. And you help them deliver it.
Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money.
About you:
You’ve got a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work that solves real problems for real people.
You navigate complex multi-team projects, flagging tradeoffs and opportunities as direction changes.
You’re a seasoned collaborator, leveraging other functions’ expertise, and taking them on the journey with you.
You can articulate your decisions clearly and credibly.
You operate as a full partner with your cross-functional team members (product, data analysts, design, content).
You have moved beyond merely seeking “a seat at the table.”
For everyone, everywhere. We're people building money without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive.
We're proud to have a truly international team, and we celebrate our differences.
Inclusive teams help us live our values and make sure every Wiser feels respected, empowered to contribute towards our mission and able to progress in their careers.
