Job Description

About the role 

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team as a key supporter of our Atlassian Cloud tools, including Jira and Confluence. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on expertise in managing Atlassian Cloud environments.

As an experienced Atlassian Engineer, you will ensure our Atlassian tools are fit for purpose and provide vital support to our teams across the globe. You will collaborate closely with various teams within Wise, streamlining their workflows using Atlassian tools and helping Wise scale faster.

We’re looking for people who can step back and think holistically about the ecosystem, but also follow through and help implement the design; drawing on the resources across the rest of the platform tribe.

We need to sustain this growth by continuously iterating on the services we run, with a focus on availability, security, and ease of use.

What will you be working on?

  • Provide support for Wisers in all things Atlassian.

  • Integrate Atlassian tools with other systems in use.

  • Improve Wise process efficiency through building automations.

  • Own, lead and execute the technical roadmap of Atlassian products in Wise.

  • Be responsible for ensuring the team scopes high impact, high quality work.

  • Take initiative to identify and solve important problems.

  • Be the driver of product improvement that impacts customer experience or internal stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify and tackle technical debt.

  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of technical documentation through design docs and knowledge sharing.

What do you need?

  • Highly experienced in administering Atlassian Cloud products:

  • Jira (Work Management/Software)

  • Jira Service Management (+ Assets)

  • Confluence

  • Atlassian Access

  • Extensive understanding of Atlassian specific configuration elements.

    • Experience in designing Atlassian based solutions using design patterns that allow for iterative delivery and future scaling.

    • Skillful in using at least one scripting language.

    • Experienced in building integrations for Atlassian stack.

    • Curiosity and a problem-solving mindset 

    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English 

    • Independent performer with strong ownership

    • Experienced with Atlassian APIs

Bonus skills / experience:

  • Experience administering Atlassian on-prem products

  • Experience using Atlassian Forge

  • SailPoint, Okta, Workato.

  • Relevant Atlassian qualifications/certificates.
