Job Description

THE ROLE

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analytics Manager to lead product analytics across the Acquiring Domain.

In the Acquiring Domain several teams collaborate to enable small businesses to get paid internationally via Pay with Wise, cards and local payment methods for subscriptions, e-commerce checkouts etc.

This is a great opportunity to build a 0-1 product and scale it massively. The goal? To create a truly differentiated product focused on getting paid internationally unlike the domestic first experience of most competitors.

This role involves a 50/50 split between leading a team (3) of talented analysts embedded within multiple product teams and providing hands-on analytical support to product teams; setting the right KPIs, providing data driven insights to inform product decisions and surface opportunities to further improve our products.

You'll directly influence the future of our Acquiring Domain strategy by partnering closely with Product and Engineering Leadership.

This is an AL2 role. For more information on our Analytics Career Map and levelling structure, click here.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with cross-functional (Product, Engineering, Design etc.) leads to define the product and growth strategy for the Acquiring Domain. Identify opportunities for customer impact and bring them to life; review team plans and progress, giving them effective feedback.

  • Establish clear goals, define measurable KPIs, and develop compelling narratives to communicate progress and proactively identify areas requiring action, both within and beyond the Acquiring Domain. This includes synthesizing data from various teams to provide a comprehensive view.

  • Ensure accurate, impactful, fast decision making throughout the Acquiring Domain with high quality analysis, raising the bar for a/b testing and helping us to iterate faster. Create scalable and accurate datasets and ensure insights are widely available for self-serve.

  • Lead and develop a team of high performing, happy analysts. Support analyst professional development via performance feedback & coaching; hire and plan capacity; ensure analyst time is spent to maximise impact; increase scalability via automation.

  • Take ownership of complex cross-team projects to help unblock critical product decisions, this could range from tactical decisions to control fraud & chargeback risk to strategic decisions on the right pricing (models) for our products.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Technical Skills: 7+ years experience in analytical roles with strong data analysis skills (SQL & Python), data modelling (e.g. airflow, dbt) and experience using event data (e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude).

  • Team Management: 2+ years experience developing and leading analysts. Performing detailed performance reviews, providing constructive feedback to identify and nurture strengths and address development areas.

  • Ownership: You enjoy working independently in a fast-paced environment: Identifying impactful opportunities and making them happen, triage requests by impact and you know when and how to adapt analysis scope to achieve 80/20 results.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communicator - you cut through the noise, communicating what matters in a way that people get it. You’re an expert at crafting dashboards and visualisations that bring data to life, tell a story and have diagnostic power.

  • Influence: Strong stakeholder management skills - you are collaborative, you know how to influence and when to say yes or no to maximise impact. You have a bias to action - you identify what needs to be done and make it happen.

Additional Information

  • Base salary: £100k - £125k (based on experience & interview outcomes)
  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
