Job Description

We’re growing rapidly, moving £115 billion cross border annually and holding £14 billion in customer funds across 10+ licensed entities worldwide. As we scale into new markets and expand our product offerings, we need to build out new direct integrations across Europe and the rest of the world.

Europe money movement squad’s mission is to become the preferred choice of payments in Europe for people and businesses with international lives by providing them with the fastest, cheapest, most convenient ways for money movement in Europe. 

We’re looking for experienced Software Engineers with a strong product and engineering mindset to join our UK money movement team.

What will you be working on?

  • New integrations - Our team is developing new direct integrations across multiple countries in Europe. We are collaborating closely with central banks and payment schemes to build scalable, modern payment systems. 

  • Scaling GBP money movement - We are on the leading edge of UK money movement through our direct integration with the Bank of England and the Faster Payments scheme. We are committed to ensuring our solutions scale with growth while keeping pace with the latest advancements in the field.

 


Qualifications

What do you need?

We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Extensive experience and proven track record in software engineering

  • Extensive experience working with microservices and distributed systems at scale

  • Exceptional product mindset, able to balance customer-centric and data-driven approaches

  • Expertise in messaging systems such as Kafka

  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

  • Experience with both relational database design

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

  • Advocating for best practices in code quality, continuous delivery, and robust code reviews

  • We expect our engineers to drive results, utilizing and embracing all modern tools to efficiently complete their work.

The successful candidate will onboard rapidly, bringing insights to help refine the team vision while contributing to the potent impact our products have on customers' lives.
