The team you’ll be working with: Business Funds Risk

We’re the team that keeps money on our platform clean, compliant, and easy to move. We build global, scalable controls that spot and stop unclear funds (money with an uncertain source) while keeping the experience fast and low‑friction for good customers. We own the full journey of those controls end‑to‑end — real‑time checks, smart decisions, data, and the customer flows that explain what’s needed and why. Our work protects customers, satisfies regulators, and helps the business grow with confidence.

Our technology stack includes Java, Spring, Kafka messaging and relational databases, but also in-house risk assessment platform layers we use to build all this in standardized way.

What does it take: 

• A strong product mindset, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions

• Sense of ownership and great communication skills to drive projects across teams

• You have solid Java, experience with Spring framework and microservice best practices

• You believe in and follow best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback

• You enjoy writing testable code

• You are proactive, wanting to learn from others and share your own learnings with others

• Experience working with relational databases and query optimisation

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Distributed and Concurrent Systems

• Hands on knowledge of system integration patterns

• It’s a plus if you have experience in compliance and/or fincrime risk mitigation related domains

• You’ll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team and tribe vision and how you can contribute 

• You’ll understand how our values can help you guide your work 

• You’ll understand our customers and the impact our product makes in their lives

• You’ll identify technical challenges and opportunities and help us build a world class money transfer product 

• You’ll write code and design systems to make Global payment faster, cheaper, and more reliable for our customers
