More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

The Challenge: The Logistics of Global Money

Moving £35+ billion every month isn't just about database entries—it is a massive coordination effort. At Wise, we tackle the logistical challenges of money movement daily:

  • Liquidity Routing: Visualizing where capital is held globally and determining the most efficient path to move it.

  • Time-Zone Orchestration: Navigating the "moving window" of global banking hours and varying regional currency cut-offs.

  • Settlement Friction: Building real-time interfaces that highlight bottlenecks in the "plumbing" of global finance, allowing for instant intervention.

The Role

We are looking for a talented Front End Engineer with a product mindset to join our Treasury Money Movement team. In this high-impact role, you will be the primary architect of the interfaces that power our global liquidity. You will build mission-critical tools that allow our Treasury Operations team to manage massive volumes of money with precision, security, and speed.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect the "Control Tower": Design and implement highly responsive, accessible, and performant front-end architectures using React and TypeScript.

  • Operational Flow Design: Translate intricate financial reconciliation and liquidity workflows into intuitive, "safety-first" digital experiences that prevent human error in high-stakes environments.

  • Advanced Data Visualization: Build sophisticated dashboards that track global money movement, risk controls, and bank-side liquidity in real-time.

  • Bridge the Stack: Collaborate on back-end services to ensure APIs (REST/GraphQL) are optimized for the front-end experience and can handle complex, asynchronous data flows.

  • Drive UX Excellence: Influence product design from the earliest stages, ensuring our internal tools are as polished and powerful as our customer-facing products.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Front End Mastery: You have deep expertise in modern Javascript/TypeScript and React. You understand state management, performance profiling, and building scalable component libraries.

  • The Logistical Logic: You enjoy solving "real-world" constraints—like bank holidays or settlement delays—and reflecting that complexity simply and clearly to the user.

  • A "Full Stack" Pulse: You are comfortable enough with Node.js or Java to shape the data structures you consume and understand the lifecycle of a transaction.

  • Product-First Mindset: You don't just "build the ticket." You challenge requirements to ensure we are building the most effective solution for our internal users
