Wise named best fintech to work for

Posting date: 12/6/23

After a nationwide survey of fintechs of all sizes across the US, Wise is honored to be recognized by American Banker as a Best Place to Work in Fintech 2023. This marks Wise’s second consecutive time earning this recognition from American Banker and the third overall workplace award received this year.

Since Wise launched its US presence in 2016, we’ve grown to over 700 employees across three offices – Tampa, NYC and our newest full-stack office in Austin. This recognition honors the hard work of our entire team who care deeply about our mission, getting stuff done, and putting our customers first.

Together, we’re revolutionizing the fintech industry. In the last year our team came together to build new products and features including the opportunity for eligible US customers to opt-in to earn interest on their Wise Account USD balance, the Wise Business card and enhanced security when sending money by offering the ability to send money with a link. These offerings wouldn’t be possible without our team coming together to solve the problems that our customers face the most.

Flexibility

We know solving global problems in managing everywhere money can be tiring, which is why we’ve built flexibility into our culture and benefits offering. Wise provides every employee ownership in the success of the company, the ability to work remotely nearly anywhere in the world for up to three months a year, and trust and freedom to work autonomously – without unnecessary bureaucracy.

This year we’ve hosted regular events across our three US offices, such as board game nights, tennis table tournaments, and paint and sip activities to let our team unplug from work and make meaningful connections with colleagues.

Join an award-winning workplace

We’re proud to be recognized for our efforts in creating an inclusive, fun and career-building workplace. This year, Wise also earned multiple recognitions for being a top place to work in the US. Built In named Wise to its Austin Best Place to Work, Austin Best Large Place to Work and New York City Best Large Places to Work. The Tampa Bay Times also recognized Wise for the fourth time as a Top Workplace in the Tampa Bay Region.

We have a lot of progress to make in achieving our mission of money without borders and we are continuing to work every day so our customers have an instant, transparent, convenient and eventually free way to move and manage money globally. It’s challenging but we’re proud of the culture our team has built to ensure customers and employees alike have best in class experiences.
